These seeds were collected from Solanum marginatum, also known as purple African nightshade, and white-margined nightshade. This perennial shrub likes to live in full to partial shade. This shrub is grown for its fuzzy hairy velvety leaves and mine has grown about 5 feet high. The white blossoms are out repeatedly through the spring and summer. Solanum in general are larval host plants for the Klugs Clearwing butterfly. USDA Hardiness Zones 9 to 11.
