This is Vitex agnus-castus, also known as Vitex, Chaste Tree, Lilac Chaste Tree, and Monks Pepper. This tree blooms from late Spring until early Fall and burst with beautiful blossoms of white, blue, and pink. It is one of few temperate zone species of Vitex. The fruit can be used as a substitute for pepper while its leaves can be used as a spice. The tree loves to grow in full sun to partial shade reaching heights up to 20 feet tall. In Greek and Latin cultures this tree is considered to be sacred to the goddess Hestia Vesta. USDA Hardiness Zones 6 to 9
