This is Jovellana punctata. This is one of my favorite shrubs to see in blossom. In our park it likes to live in a shady area which only gets an hour or two of direct sunlight every day. The delicate little flowers look like they each have their own individual faces, like fingerprints. Splashes and specks of purple, yellow, violet and maroon dance on the china white background. You can catch these breath taking blossoms from late Spring until the middle of the Summer. USDA Hardiness Zones 9 to 11
