This is Phylica pubescens, also known as Featherhead, veerkoppie and Flannel Flower. This plant demands attention in any garden. It is very rare and hardly ever available for sale. Phylica pubescens must be grown in the full sun where it will grow 3 or 4 feet tall. The flowers that form at the end of every branch have a faint smell of cinnamon.
