These seeds were collected from Celosia argentea, also known as Celosia Plumosa Nana Glitters Pink. These annuals grow best in full sun and can at times get up to about 2 feet tall. In West Africa and Southeast Asia it is common to eat the flowers, young shoots, and and leaves as vegetables similar to spinach. An edible oil can also be made from the seeds. Celosia, in genreral, are larval host plants for the Common Sootywing butterfly. This annual can be grown in all USDA Hardiness Zones and is a tender perennial in USDA Hardiness Zones 9 to 11.
