These seeds were collected from Asclepias angustifolia, also known as Arizona milkweed. These seeds are rare. This plant likes to live in full sun to partial shade and can grow about 3 feet tall. It has attractive pink and purple flowers from early spring until late summer. Asclepias in general are documented nectar sources for the Monarch, Orange-edged Roadside-Skipper, Dina Yellow, Carus Skipper, Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, and Falcate Metalmark butterflies. It is also the nectar source for the Clarks sphinx, and Milkweed Tussock moths.USDA Hardiness Zones 8 to 10.
