These seeds were collected from Aralia spinosa, also known as American Angelica Tree, Hercules Club, and Devils Walking Stick. This shrub likes to live in sun to partial shade where it can grow up to 20 feet high. The white blossoms are on display through the middle of the summer where they attract many varieties of birds, bees, and butterflies. The spikes that grow from the trunk and branches give this shrub a very exotic appearance. Young leaves can be picked before the spikes appear. These leaves are used as a potherb in vegetable dishes. USDA Hardiness Zones 5 to 9.
