This is Datura metel Black Currant Swirl, also known as Devils Trumpet, Horn of Plenty, and Downy Thorn Apple. This spectacular bloom has triple and quadruple blossoms all over the place. The flowers have a wonderful fragrance which brings the bees, birds, and butterlies. Growing anywhere from 2 to 6 feet high, these plants like to live in full sun or partial shade. Daturas are larval host plants for the Pink-spotted Hawkmoth, Five-spotted Hawkmoth, and the Carolina sphinx Moth.
