These seeds were collected from Abies grandis, also known as Grand Fir, Giant Fir, and Lowland White Fir. This tree likes to live in sun to partial shade where it can grow to over 100 feet high, but in most cases is between 40 and 70 feet tall. Pink dye can be made from the bark.
