These seeds are from Datura metel Double Purple, also known as Devils Trumpet. This plant has very impressive purple and white blossoms which bloom repeatedly from late Spring until early Fall. This plant likes to grow in full sun to partial shade where it gets about 6 feet high. Daturas are larval host plants for the Pink-spotted Hawkmoth, Five-spotted Hawkmoth, and the Carolina sphinx Moth. Datura metel is grown all over as an Annual plant and it is a tender perennial in USDA Hardiness Zones 9 to 10.
