This is Alyogyne huegelii, also known as Blue Hibiscus, Lilac Hibiscus, and California Hibiscus. This tropical shrub likes to live in full sun where its stunning Rose, Mauve, Violet, Lavender, and Purple blossoms are on display from late Spring until the middle of the Fall. The large flower on this shrub varies greatly in color. This plant is very popular among the birds, bees, and butterflies.
